Application of reverse osmosis membrane in power industry

Project background

The main source of boiler feed water comes from river water, sea water, and groundwater. It contains a large amount of impurities, calcium, and magnesium ions, which will cause great harm to the boiler, affect the performance of the boiler, cause uneven heating of the boiler, and may corrode metal in severe cases. It is very dangerous, so most power plants use ultrapure water equipment to purify the water so that the water quality can meet the usage standards.

With the continuous development of industrial technology, boiler feed water treatment technology is also constantly improving. Desalination treatment is an important part of boiler feed water treatment. Its purpose is to remove dissolved salts in the water and ensure the safe and stable operation of the boiler. Traditional desalination treatment methods include ion exchange and electrodialysis. However, both methods have certain limitations. In recent years, reverse osmosis (RO) technology has gradually been widely used in the desalination treatment of boiler feed water, which has the advantages of high efficiency, environmental protection, and energy saving.
