Probe method refers to a testing method that uses a certain tool or method to detect the object being tested, and is also commonly used for reverse osmosis membrane or nanofiltration membrane component detection and membrane system fault analysis.
1、 Application of membrane element detection
In the HY/T107-2017 "Test Methods for Rolled Reverse Osmosis Membrane Components" standard, it is mentioned to use the "probe method" to detect the integrity of membrane components. Today we will learn the testing methods for membrane component integrity.
1. Using a pressure tube as a probe, insert the pressure tube from the inlet end of the central tube of the membrane element to the other end while the membrane element permeability testing device is shut down. Mark the position of the pressure tube outside the end plate as 0 when encountering obstacles;
2. Start the testing device to meet the standard conditions for membrane component penetration performance testing; Pull the air pressure pipe out in sequence to the corresponding positions (0mm, 150mm, 300mm, 460mm, 620mm, 780mm, 936mm in the figure), and measure the electrical conductivity at the corresponding positions;
3. Repeat the test three times for each position, and take the arithmetic mean of the three tests as the test result for that position.
